Event Three - "Bare Necessities"

As Vice President of my sorority chapter at the time, Delta Phi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., in the Spring of 2023 I was able to conduct a Disney themed Week of Events as this event is titled the "Bare Necessities." Theming and referencing from Walt Disney Productions beloved classic "The Jungle Book" (1967) (with references within the presentation itself). This educational event was actual about learning different political positions and the essence of voting, then followed by having the entire room choose a political position they "would like to become for the activity" and write a small speech on what you would like to in that short time for your community or nation. The majority of the audience were African American students in hoping that they too can understand political authority, voting and the hope to see themselves one in those high political positions if wanted or desired! This event I put together and hosted won "The Multicultural Program of the Year Award" at the 36th Annual Multicultural Achievement Awards at Ball State University in March of 2023 presented by the Ball State University Multicultural Center.
